Welcome to Carlton Cricket Club
Carlton are champions of Scotland. We run 4 men's teams, a women's side, 9 junior teams, a Sunday Friendly XI and have a thriving junior coaching programme for boys and girls. In all, more than 400 members pay to play and watch their cricket at Grange Loan, Edinburgh - undoubtedly one of Scotland's most beautiful grounds. New players always welcome.

2011 Scottish Premiership & National T20 champions
2010 winners Carlton qualified for the finals night of the Cricket Media Super 6s tournament, following a second successive group win over old rivals Grange. Internationalists Mommsen and Watts were to the fore and, once again, the youngsters in the side did well as Stenhousemuir were also defeated to leave Carlton with a 100% qualifying record.
Elswwhere, there was also a couple of indoor wins for our young Under 13 side at the weekend.

While the club's international contingent prepare for a lengthy trip abroad on Scotland duty over the next couple of months, one Carlton batsmen has already been testing his skills in unfamiliar conditions.
Big hitting 4th XI batsmen Mike Kennedy is in the middle of a mammoth 4.500 km cycle ride through the length of India. Showing his usual dedication to pre-season practice, Mike has also able been able to find time to to test his batting against an Indian attack.

With Carlton planning to field a regular women's side for the first time this season, pre-season recruitment gets underway with girls' and women's taster sessions on Sunday 12th February at the Gracemount High School games hall (2 to 3.30pm for girls and 3.30 to 5pm for women).
The sessions will be run as a basic and fun introduction to cricket for girls and women of all abilities - no experience is necessary!
Just turn up; you'll be made very welcome

The social event of the year – The Carlton Ceilidh – takes place on Saturday 3rd March at the Edinburgh Academy Junior School.
All Carlton members and parents are welcome; please bring along your friends for what should be a great occasion. Tickets are available at just £20 per person (£15 for juniors) with a family ticket on offer for £50.

14 years after arriving at Grange Loan for a one year stint as Carlton professional, Cedric English has announced that he is leaving the club.
In his time at Grange Loan, Cedric picked up 251 SNCL wickets and hit a phenomenal 6630 SNCL runs. Although his early efforts were aimed at keeping Carlton in the Premier League, the club developed over the years to the point where Cedric was a key part of a side that won three National T20 trophies plus the SNCL title in 2012.

The season begins in earnest in early February with the start of the Carlton indoor nets. The first session takes place on Sunday 5th February at Edinburgh Academy Sports Hall from 6 to 8pm.
Nets will then run at the same time each Sunday until the end of March. With five senior league teams, including a women’s side, turning out during the summer we'll be happy to welcome new players at all levels to the sessions.
